Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the PropertyTitles.com website, platform, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service.
1. Permitted Uses
The Services are designed for the following lawful purposes:
- Personal property research and due diligence
- Real estate investment analysis and evaluation
- Verification and review of publicly recorded property documents
- Title verification by licensed real estate professionals
- Legal research by licensed attorneys
- Genealogical and historical property research
- Comparable sales analysis and property valuation
- Internal business operations of licensed title companies, lenders, and real estate firms
- Academic and journalistic research
2. Prohibited Uses
You expressly agree that you will NOT use the Services, directly or indirectly, for any of the following purposes:
FCRA-Regulated Purposes
PropertyTitles is NOT a Consumer Reporting Agency under the FCRA.
- Employment screening or hiring decisions
- Tenant screening or rental decisions
- Credit eligibility determinations
- Insurance underwriting or eligibility
- Any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
Harassment, Stalking & Surveillance
- Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or stalking any individual
- Monitoring or surveilling any person without legal authority
- Locating individuals for purposes of physical harm
- Doxxing or publicly exposing personal information with malicious intent
Commercial Misuse
- Automated scraping, harvesting, or systematic extraction of data
- Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing data without authorization
- Building competing products or services using our data
- Sending unsolicited commercial communications based on data obtained
- Using data for telemarketing without prior express written consent
Technical Abuse
- Circumventing security measures, access controls, or rate limits
- Introducing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Interfering with the proper functioning of the Services
- Exceeding authorized access or using another user's account
- Reverse-engineering the Services or underlying technology
Legal Violations
- Any activity that violates federal, state, or local law
- Facilitating fraud, identity theft, or financial crimes
- Violating any individual's privacy rights
- Misrepresenting your identity or the purpose of your search
3. Enforcement
PropertyTitles reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP and to take appropriate action, including: temporary or permanent account suspension, termination without refund, removal of data or content, reporting to law enforcement, and pursuit of legal remedies.
